PMoA Executive Director to Attend Prestigious Getty Leadership Insititute

Polk Museum of Art's Executive Director, Daniel E. Stetson, has been accepted to attend the Museum Leadership Institute (MLI), which is the foremost professional development program for senior museum executives. This program of the Getty Leadership Institute and Claremont Graduate University will be held July 10 - 29 at the Getty Center in Los Angeles.

PMoA to Exhibit Famous Harlem Renaissance Painter

Loïs Mailou Jones was one of the original Harlem Renaissance artists and many of her pieces are influenced by African art, Caribbean culture and her fascination with color.

PMoA Participating in Blue Star Museums Program

Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce its participation in Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 600 museums across America. PMoA and other participating museum are offering free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2010.

Polk Museum of Art is currently taking enrollments for SummerArt Camp for children ages 5-13. The theme of this year's camp is "Modern Art...Up, Up, and Away!"

PMoA Announces Reduced Summer Hours
17 May. 2010
Polk Museum of Art will continue its tradition of reduced summer hours this year. From June 1 - August 31, the Museum's hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 10am - 4pm. The Museum will be closed Sundays, Mondays, and major holidays.
