An Adventure with Carl Jung
Presented by: Trudy Corry Rankin
Saturday, August 21, 2010 (5:00-7:30pm)

“To gain an understanding of religious matters, probably all that is left us today is the psychological approach. That is why I take these thought-forms that have become historically fixed, try to melt them down again and pour them into moulds of immediate experience.” C.G. Jung Carl Jung’s seminal work provides considerable material for personal and collective reflection. Understanding the building blocks of Jungian thought provides a fresh impulse in spiritual formation.

Our Lives as Myth: Tracing our Personal Evolution
Presented by: Nolleen Kelly and Bal Goleman
Saturday, September 25, 2010 (5:00-7:30pm)

An examination of the premise that the myths we learn--or that capture our imagination-in childhood--often set a pattern, or template, for our future lives. During this session, we will reflect upon the stories and heroes who have helped create the design of our individual journeys. As Theseus followed a helpful thread to find his way out of the Minotaur’s labyrinth, is there a common thread woven into the fabric of our own personal evolution?

Who Rules: Spirit or Personality?
Presented by: Kate Cohen-Posey
Saturday, October 16, 2010 (5:00-7:30pm)

From ancient to modern times the temptation to classify personality has been great. Join us for a fun evening of exercises to shed light on your character type. We’ll use the ancient pantheon of god and goddess archetypes, projective drawings, and a surprisingly simple modern inventory to discover the features we use to manage life. But the bigger question is--are our traits set in stone or is there something deeper guiding us? What is the purpose of the personality structure that may be shrouding brilliance within.
