One Caribbean Evening

Friday, February 5, 2010 | 6:00 - 9:00pm
Cost: $50 Members, $60 Non-Members (includes 2 drink tickets)
Dance the night away to sounds of the steel drums at an evening of Caribbean music, food, and drinks. Polk Museum of Art and R & R Chutney invite you to head south for the winter while they bring in some Caribbean heat for this fun event.
Chef Rex Harris, a native of Grenada and owner of R & R Chutney, will be showcasing his specialty dishes sure to please even the most discerning of palates. The delightful parade of dishes begins with jerk wings and curry shrimp roti followed by creole chicken and a Caribbean beef. A tasty coconut ice cream with a chocolate bread pudding will be the refreshing finish. Be sure to breeze by the chutney table so you can sample and purchase the different varieties, including The People’s Choice Winners pineapple-mango and bell pepper.
This is a casual and fun evening not to be missed! Caribbean attire is encouraged. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Polk Museum of Art.
