Halloween and Day of the Dead Parties

Family Halloween Party
Friday, October 29, 2010, 4:00 - 7:00pm
Cost: $5 per participant

Celebrate Halloween at Polk Museum of Art. Join a scavenger hunt, participate in Halloween themed games, create a great Halloween Art project, listen to a creepy story, and enter a drawing for your chance to win a great Halloween pastry!

No registration necessary. You may pay at the door.

 

Day of the Dead Celebration and Workshop
Saturday, October 30, 2010, 1:00 - 3:30pm
Cost: $2 per child (Regular Museum admission applies for parents)

“El Dia de Los Muertos” is a traditional Mexican holiday that honors the lives of deceased ancestors and loved ones. Join Polk Museum of Art for a fun-filled day of activities based on this festive holiday. Create your own Day of the Dead alter and mask with all the traditional elements. Then afterwards, march in our Day of the Dead Parade. Collect candy as you go through the Museum to honor your ancestors and show off your new mask. Open to children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

ADMISSION:
$5 General  ::  $4 Seniors ::  Students Admitted FREE.
Members and Children age 5 and Younger Admitted FREE.
