Join us as spoken word artist Tantra performs pieces from her new CD, Sacred.
Tantra is a Brooklyn, New York, based performance poet and author whose work is considered sexy and seductive. Her topics touch on black love, empowerment, Hurricane Katrina, and HIV/AIDS awareness. She has performed to standing-room only audiences in Toronto, London, and Germany, as well as in several venues throughout the tri-state area. She is the host of her own spoken word series, Wordspace, and has made many appearances on television and local and satellite radio stations. Her work has been published in Essence Magazine, Redeye, Spoken Vizions, defpoetryjam.com, Platinum Poets, Suniper Press, and poetswearprada.com. Her book, alifepoeminprogress, is published by Pauline Publishing – A Spoken Word Black Press, New York.
Tantra describes her work as “the love that I make through my art to the vision of the unseen reality.”
