The Polk Museum of Art will be celebrating the Caribbean with an evening of culture, music and food on Friday, February 5. Rex Harris, Granada native and owner of R & R Chutney, will create his specialty Caribbean dishes - including jerk wings and curry shrimp. Other dishes will consist of Creole chicken, Caribbean beef and coconut ice cream with chocolate bread pudding.

Rex Harris, Granada native and owner of R & R Chutney, will create his specialty Caribbean dishes - including jerk wings and curry shrimp. Other dishes will consist of Creole chicken, Caribbean beef and coconut ice cream with chocolate bread pudding. Harris will also be providing a chutney table, at which those attending can “see why pineapple mango…and the bell pepper…were voted favorite chutneys at a recent tasting.” Caribbean themed attire is encouraged, and island music will be playing throughout the evening. Tickets are $50 per person for Museum members, $65 for non-members, and $75 at the door. Admission includes 2 drink tickets, food and entertainment. The event will last from 6:00 – 9:00pm. One Caribbean Evening is sponsored by Publix Supermarkets Charities and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Polk Museum of Art.
