Go Beyond the Art with a Presentation About Textile Design

On Saturday, September 11, visitors to Polk Museum of Art will have the opportunity to go beyond the art of the exhibition Loïs Mailou Jones: A Life in Vibrant Color with a presentation and mini-workshop led by Rick Olivo. The presentation will begin at 1:00pm and is free with Museum admission.

FSC Professor to be Guest Critic at PMoA Event

On Friday, September 10, Polk Museum of Art will host another installment of View and Review, an informal art critique for emerging artists. This View and Review will be led by Wiliam Otremsky, Fine Art Professor at Florida Southern College, and he will offer participating artists feedback about their work.

PMoA Executive Director to Attend Prestigious Getty Leadership Insititute

Stetson, has been accepted to attend the Museum Leadership Institute (MLI), which is the foremost professional development program for senior museum executives. This program of the Getty Leadership Institute and Claremont Graduate University will be held July 10 - 29 at the Getty Center in Los Angeles.

PMoA to Exhibit Famous Harlem Renaissance Painter

PMoA Participating in Blue Star Museums Program

Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce its participation in Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 600 museums across America. PMoA and other participating museum are offering free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2010.

PMoA Announces Reduced Summer Hours

Polk Museum of Art will continue its tradition of reduced summer hours this year. From June 1 - August 31, the Museum's hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 10am - 4pm. The Museum will be closed Sundays, Mondays, and major holidays.

Members and Children age 5 and Younger Admitted FREE.
