DIRECTIONS TO THE POLK MUSEUM OF ART
From Outside of Polk County:
Traveling East on I-4 (from Tampa).
Take Exit 28 off of I-4 eastbound (Memorial Boulevard). Continue
to Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right (Stay in the left lane). Massachusetts
Avenue ends at Lake Morton. Make a left and follow Lake Morton to East
Palmetto Street. Turn Left. The Museum is located behind the Public
Library, with a parking lot between the two buildings.
Traveling West on I-4
(from Orlando)
Take Exit 33, which is State Route 33. Turn Left (south). State Route 33
becomes Lakeland Hills Blvd. In Lakeland and will take you past Joker Marchant
Stadium and the hospital. Once you Cross State Route 92, Lakeland Hills
Blvd. becomes Massachusetts Avenue. (Stay in the left lane.) Massachusetts
Avenue ends at Lake Morton.Make a left and follow Lake Morton to East Palmetto
Street. Turn Left. The Museum is located behind the Public Library, with a
parking lot between the two buildings.
Traveling East or West on State Route 60
Head north on State Route 37 from S.R. 60. State
Route 37 becomes Florida Avenue in Lakeland. As
you enter the center of town, look for Walnut Street. Turn Right. Walnut
Street ends at Lake Morton. Make
a right and follow Lake Morton to East Palmetto Street. Turn Right. The Museum is located behind the
Public Library, with a parking lot between the two buildings.
Traveling North on State Route 37
State Route 37 becomes Florida Avenue in Lakeland. As
you enter the center of town, look for Walnut Street. Turn Right. Walnut
Street ends at Lake Morton. Make a right and follow Lake Morton to East Palmetto Street. Turn Right.
The Museum is located behind the
Public Library, with a parking lot between the two buildings.
Traveling South on State Route 33
State Route 33 becomes Lakeland Hills Blvd. In Lakeland and will take
you past Joker Marchant Stadium and the hospital. When you cross State Route 92,
Lakeland Hills Blvd. Becomes Massachusetts Avenue. (Stay in the left lane.) Massachusetts Avenue ends at Lake
Morton. Make a left

From Within Polk County
Traveling from Winter Haven and Auburndale
On U.S. Hwy 92:
U.S. Hwy 92 becomes Memorial Blvd. in Lakeland. Turn
left on Massachusetts Avenue from Memorial. Massachusetts
Avenue ends at Lake Morton. Make
a left and follow Lake Morton to East Palmetto Street. Turn Left. The Museum is located behind the Public Library, with a parking lot
between the two buildings.
On County Road 540-A:
Follow 540-A to U.S. 98. Turn Right.
Take U.S. 98 to the first light after Lakeland Senior High School, which
is Lake Hollingsworth Road. Turn Left.Take
Lake Hollingsworth Road about ½ to East Palmetto. Turn Right.The
Museum is located behind the Public Library, with a parking lot between the
two buildings.
Traveling from Bartow and Lake Wales
Take U.S. 98 to the first light after Lakeland Senior High School, which
is Lake Hollingsworth Road. Turn Left.
Take Lake Hollingsworth Road about ½ to East Palmetto. Turn Right.
The Museum is located behind the Public Library, with a parking lot
between the two buildings.
